Caroline Lavender was in the College of Science studying neuroscience and philosophy with a minor in musical theatre. In the Patzke lab, Caroline was working elucidating the cell biological function of the coxsackie-adenovirus receptor (CAR) in human neurons. In her free time, Caroline enjoys participating in a variety of clubs, as well as pursuing her musical interests in piano and classical vocal technique. During the summer 2021 Caroline’s work in the lab was supported by the College of Science Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship.
